Jody Hendricks weighs in on the issues surrounding golf legend Tiger Woods, who recently got arrested for DUI.

Tiger Woods, who either missed the cut or withdrew from every PGA tour appearance this year and had back surgery last month, spent nearly four hours in custody on Monday morning after being charged with driving under the influence in Florida USA.

Woods who’s had 3 back operations the past for years, and last won a major in 2008 (the US open) has been struggling with life on and off the golf course. His life took a turn for the worst in 2009 when he and now ex-wife had a public fight about his extra marital affairs.

Tiger released a statement on the DUI charge… “I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions. I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realise the mix of medications affected me so strongly.”

Woods goes on … “I would like to apologise with all my heart to my family, friends, and the fans. I expect more from myself, too. I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.
I fully cooperated with law enforcement, and I would like to personally thank the representatives of the Jupiter Police Dept. and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for their professionalism.”

The big question now is, will the former poster boy for golf be able to make a comeback or have we seen the last of him?
